About This Position

The Vice President of Information Technology is a newly created role responsible for architecting and building the Company’s entire technology infrastructure from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CFO, the VP of IT will establish the enterprise IT strategy, own all corporate and operational technology (OT) systems, lead cybersecurity programs, and oversee the SCADA and EMS platforms that monitor and control our generation fleet. This executive will build and lead a high-performing internal IT organization, manage strategic vendor and managed service relationships, and ensure that the Company’s technology capabilities scale in lockstep with an aggressive asset growth trajectory. This is a rare opportunity to define and build a best-in-class IT function within a well-capitalized, rapidly-growing renewable energy platform.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • IT Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year IT roadmap aligned with corporate growth objectives, operational requirements, and capital deployment timelines.
    • Serve as the primary technology advisor to the executive leadership team; present to the Board of Directors on technology risk, investment, and strategy.
    • Build, recruit, and mentor a high-performing IT team – including enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and OT disciplines – scaling the organization as the asset portfolio grows.

    • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of enterprise platforms including ERP, EAMS (Enterprise Asset Management), GIS, document management, and financial reporting systems.
    • Establish and maintain robust disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) capabilities across all critical IT systems.
    • Drive cloud migration and optimization initiatives, ensuring secure, high-availability architectures appropriate for 24/7 energy operations.
  • SCADA, OT & Energy Management Systems
    • Provide executive ownership of the SCADA and Energy Management System (EMS) infrastructure used to monitor, control, and optimize wind, solar, and battery storage assets.

    • Manage relationships with key OT vendors and renewable energy SCADA specialists.
  • Digital Transformation & Innovation
    • Drive digital transformation initiatives across development, construction, and operations functions – including mobile workforce tools, digital twins, drone inspection platforms, and AI-assisted analytics.
